Aberdeen Office Open Day - 16th January 2008
We would like to thank all of you who attended our open day on Wednesday 16th January in our new Aberdeen office. Also thanks to those that could not make it but have contacted us via email or phone to register. The winner of our ipod Nano 8gb was Second Officer Katie Duthie. Katie has just completed her OOW ticket at Glasgow Nautical College and is looking forward to a rewarding careeer at sea, she came into register and we have already fixed Katie up with an interview for a postion as Second Officer. Continuous Changes Within NuWave During 2006
Our Aberdeen office was opened in 2006 at Riverside Drive, close to the harbour area and the town centre. NuWave won two major Crew Management contracts in Aberdeen so the requirement for an office to be set up near to the centre of the Marine Industry became an urgent requirement.
Christine Wain was appointed General Manager and leads a team of seven personnel dealing with the business in Aberdeen as well as the experienced team of four in the Fareham office, which has been open since 2002. Karen Harvey has been promoted to Operations Manager in Fareham and continues to run the day to day operations, dealing with Crew Management contracts and Ad-hoc placements both permanent and temporary for a wide variety of companies world wide.
Christine has worked in the Marine Industry for twelve years dealing with the Crew Management and Operations for an International Shipping Company. She has dealt with all aspects of the crewing of offshore vessels including dealing with the Unions as well as all the marine bodies’ i.e. MCA and MAIB. Christine also has a sound knowledge of Employment law issues and has dealt with many varying issues.
Since 2006 NuWave Fareham have been running two major Polish Crew Management contracts and successfully manage a shore based marine contract within a large UK port. This shore based contract, the first of its kind for NuWave, has been running since June 06, where NuWave employees are responsible for the day to day running of the lock under the guidance of the Harbour Master, which operates 24 hours a day.
NuWave Personnel Ltd now have a database of over 11000 registered seafarers of all nationalities.
September 2006
NuWave are pleased to announce that Nicola Jones has returned to the company as Recruitment Consultant after maternity leave.
2004

Owing to the success of the previous years' event - NuWave Personnel Ltd were proud to be chosen once again as the principal provider of crew to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company for the TT Races.

2003
The Company proudly announce their first placement on board Queen Mary 2 for the maiden voyage of this prestigious cruise ship.

- The first Marine Recruitment Company ever to exhibit at the Seawork Exhibition! This prestigious event for professionals within the marine industry is held each year at Southampton Docks.
- Seatrade London. A successful few days at the Excel Center generated much interest from new & existing Client Companies.
- International Festival of the Sea in Leith.
NuWave Personnel Ltd were chosen as the preferred supplier for shore-side marine vacancies for P&O Nedlloyd Ltd in London.
NuWave Personnel Ltd celebrates its first birthday! To mark the end of a very successful first year, a donation was made to seafarers charities for each placement made during August 2003.

2002
NuWave are very pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Harvey as Personnel Officer.
Karen joins the NuWave team, bringing a wealth of recruitment and crew management experience to the position. Karen has spent the past ten years working within the 'marine personnel' field with Sandford Ship Management, RVS Marine, and most recently with Sealife Crewing Services.
NuWave report an excellent response to their launch in August, from both seafarers and shipping companies. The company's conviction of the need for a 'quality service driven by the needs of both seafarers and shipping companies' has been fully justified. NuWave are now delivering this service and continue to welcome more applications and enquiries.
NuWave Personnel Ltd - Opens for Business 1st August 2002
NuWave Personnel announces the launch of their Personnel Management Services company, as of 1st August 2002.
NuWave have done extensive research into the marine 'Personnel Market' and has identified the need for a quality service driven by the needs of clients, both ashore and afloat.
